A blessed baby has his first look of hair and beard as a child.
Babysitter Surya has received the honour of the most generous gift she can imagine receiving from a friend.
“I was in India and I went to a friend’s place to see a wedding and she asked if I wanted to see her son, which I was not expecting to hear,” said Babysitter, who lives in Kerala’s Ernakulam district.
She said she was surprised when she saw the young boy, who is now in his mid-teens.
When she saw him, he had a smile on his face and was holding his hand and he was smiling and giggling, Babyster said.
The baby boy has been dubbed the ‘brave new face’ by Babysitting Guru Gita, whose birthday is on October 6.
Surya said the gift was an ‘unbelievable’ honour for the boy and that it was her first time receiving a gift from a person.
In her native village of Prahlalapuram, in the south-western state of Kerala, a boy named Pramod is a legend.
He was born on October 10, 1980, and in 1991 was given a special birth certificate.
His mother is an official in Kerala, but she has never met her son.
It was her intention to meet him for the first time, she said, but then the circumstances changed.
My first thought was ‘how can I get a haircut to see him?’ she said.
“I thought it is a strange gift to be giving to someone and to get a tattoo on my son.”
Suryas gift came as a surprise.
After her son’s birth, her husband had to go to the doctor to have the baby examined.
But the doctor said there was nothing wrong with the baby and that he would grow up to be a happy and healthy baby.
Her son is now studying at a government school and is expected to graduate in three years, Suryas parents said.
The girl said she had no idea she was to receive the gift until a couple of months later.
A couple of weeks later, the gift arrived.
There was a big surprise on the other side, she added.
“I told my husband I was surprised and told him I thought it was a strange, strange gift.
I was shocked to receive such a thing,” she said.(Reuters)
