The trend has gained popularity in recent years, especially in South-East Asia, where it has become an integral part of fashion.
The trend is also being seen in Europe, where fashion houses are starting to show more child-friendly styles.
However, a new report from consultancy firm PWC says the trend is now affecting older generations, especially those over the age of 60.
This is partly due to the rising cost of hair care, as well as increased awareness of cosmetic issues and social stigma.
PWC’s report titled Child Hair Trending Across Asia-Pacific, 2018 states that there is a significant trend for young children to wear their hair short and ponytails.
